The TTD print module is a fast and robust thermal transfer printer for industrial card personalization.
It was specially developed for integration into the Rinas CS-LWR coding system and is ideal for printing on ID-1 cards made of plastic or similar materials.
Thanks to its sturdy metal construction and a print resolution of 300 dpi, the TTD module is durable, precise, and easy to maintain.
The printing speed depends on the printed area and allows throughputs of up to 1,600 cards per hour.
Optionally, the printer can feed cards backwards—ideal for double-sided card printing in combination with a flipper module.
Card encoding with laser precision
The TTD module prints text, barcodes, 2D codes, and graphics in monochrome color, depending on the ribbon used.
Adjustable heating parameters allow the pressure to be optimally adapted to different card materials.
A ribbon saving function minimizes the consumption of thermal transfer ribbon and ensures economical operation.
The ribbon can be replaced without tools via the easily accessible cover. An integrated cleaning roller keeps the print head clean and extends its service life to up to 400,000 cards.

Smart integration with Rina's coding systems
The thermal transfer printer is an ideal addition to the modular CS-LWR coding system.
The TTD is controlled directly via the control PC through internal communication between the modules and the TCP/IP interface.
Thanks to the parallel processing of multiple modules, one card can be encoded (magnetic stripe, RFID, or chip) in the CS-LWR while a second card is simultaneously printed in the TTD.
This significantly increases throughput and reduces process times.
An optional print check with scanner can be added downstream to ensure print quality and data integrity.
