Scanner system for code and text recognition
Data collection for cards and tickets
The professional scanner system from Rinas is a compact solution for recognizing one- and two-dimensional codes as well as text during transport.
The integrated LED lighting and powerful electronics ensure reliable detection even at high speeds.
This makes the scanner ideal for use in personalization systems where printed cards or tickets need to be checked and validated.
Complex technology, easy to use
The scanner system combines modern image processing technology with an intuitive user interface. The included software makes it easy to configure, save, and reuse jobs.
Data fields can be created individually and assigned to specific code areas. The exposure time can be flexibly adjusted to achieve optimal results with different materials, colors, or printing processes.
Both the job data and the image evaluations can be saved directly on the scanner or on a PC.
Technical advantages of the scanner system
- High-precision detection of codes and texts
- Integrated LED lighting (white/infrared)
- Simple job setup with memory function
- Inline quality inspection of printing and coding
- Compact, robust design (aluminum housing, IP67)
- Integrated pass/fail evaluation and alarm functions
- Flexible communication interfaces (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
Inline scanners for quality control
The Rinas scanner can be used inline in production facilities to automatically check printed or coded information. It detects faulty or incomplete prints and reports them directly to the control system.
This enables reliable quality control in real time. An important contribution to automated card personalization and verification.
Typical applications for scanner systems are:
- Checking barcodes, matrix codes, or text content
- Checking print quality and legibility
- Validating production data (name, ID, serial number)
Integration into Rinas systems
The scanner system can be seamlessly integrated into Rina’s coding and printing systems such as CS-LWR, CS-SWR, DTM or DOD. It communicates directly with the control PC via the TCP/IP interface and transmits test results in real time.
Optionally, the scanner can be used in conjunction with a print module or laser engraving system for automatic print control.
Areas of application for the scanner system
- Inline quality control in coding and printing systems
- Capture of barcodes, matrix codes, and text
- Verification of personalization data
- Documentation and traceability of production data
- Integration into OEM equipment for card or ticket production
