HWR encoding module for high-speed magnetic card personalization
Magnetic card personalization at maximum speed
The HWR encoding module is the high-speed solution for magnetic card personalization in industrial production lines.
With a throughput of up to 18,000 cards per hour, it sets new standards in terms of speed, quality, and efficiency.
Thanks to integrated inline inspection, intelligent magnetic head technology, and minimal maintenance requirements, the HWR is ideal for large series and demanding OEM applications.
Card encoding with laser precision
The HWR encoder writes and reads up to three magnetic tracks simultaneously – in both HICO and LOCO modes (300–4,000 Oe).
Each card is automatically checked: Inline quality assurance checks header bits, start and end characters, parity, bit density, and checksums in accordance with international standards.
A separate electronic unit (HSR10) performs the test independently of the coding.
The data can also be transmitted to the host system to enable double verification of the encoded information.
This enables HWR to achieve maximum process reliability and coding quality – even with high volumes.

Sustainable coding with intelligent magnetic head technology
The HWR uses software-controlled magnetic head adjustment, which automatically regulates the contact pressure. This allows cards/tickets of different thicknesses to be processed without mechanical adjustment.
This extends the service life of the magnetic heads and protects the card surface at the same time.
Unused heads are automatically moved to the parking position, which reduces wear and tear and increases sustainability in line with the Rinas Think Green concept.
