The Rinas Flipper Type FLO is a compact and reliable module for rotating ID-1 cards in personalization systems.
It enables precise 180° turning of magnetic, chip, and RFID cards when double-sided printing, encoding, or optical inspection is required.
Thanks to its robust design and precise position detection, the Flipper FLO has been an integral part of many industrial card production systems for years.
The module is compatible with all Rina coding systems and can be flexibly integrated into existing production lines.
Why card rotation is necessary
Magnetic and chip cards often have a defined preferred side, e.g., the magnetic strip at the bottom right.
If a card needs to be printed on the same side after encoding, it must be rotated 180°, as printers usually only print from above.
When scanning map data, it may also be necessary to rotate the map before further processing.
This is where the Rinas Flipper FLO comes into play—precise, reliable, and designed for high throughput.

Reliable rotation of different card types
The Flipper FLO is designed for ID-1 cards as standard, but can also be adapted for paper or special cards. Special transport rollers are used for paper tickets to ensure that the more sensitive materials are guided safely.
An internal position monitoring system ensures that the card is in the exact position before rotation. Even if the rollers wear out, the alignment remains precise. After rotation, the card can be output either on the same side or on the opposite side. Alternatively, the module can also be operated as a pure transport module without rotation.

Reliable rotation of different card types
The FLO flipper can be easily integrated into CS-LWR, CS-SWR, and CS-Laser systems. It can be placed directly between coding and printing modules to ensure a seamless production process.
