SRM encoding system for RFID and chip card personalization
Versatile card encoding with integrated scanning function
The SRM encoding system is a universal encoder for ID-1 cards, RFID, and chip personalization.
Its modular design makes it the ideal solution for applications with different card types, materials, and personalization requirements.
Optionally, scanning modules can be integrated from above and below, which operate in both the IR and visible ranges – for automatic data acquisition, pressure control, and safe processing.
If required, the system can be expanded with Rinas modules for separating, stacking, and printing to enable a continuous production process.
Card encoding with laser precision
The SRM encoder can be equipped with a universal RFID reader that is adjustable in height between 5 and 30 mm.
This allows almost all RFID standards used in the card industry to be optimally positioned and encoded.
The software supports the entire process from encoding to verification and can also integrate customer RFID hardware or software if required.
For smart card production, the SRM has individually spring-loaded chip contacts that are automatically lowered by a motor.
This process takes less than 200 ms and enables high card throughput with maximum precision.
Technical advantages of laser coding systems
- Combined RFID and chip card encoding
- Integrated scanners from above and below
- Expandable with printing, separation, and stacking modules
- Supports custom RFID hardware and software
- Height-adjustable RFID reader (5–30 mm)
- Spring-loaded chip contacts with 200 ms cycle time
- Easy to maintain with reader replacement in < 4 minutes
- Communication via RS232, CAN, and TCP/IP
Extensions for scanning and printing
The SRM system can be combined with scanner and printing units to implement a complete workflow of coding, checking, and printing.
Available print modules include:
- Inkjet printing modules with up to 600 dpi
- Thermal transfer printing modules for permanent marking
- Drop-on-demand solutions with up to 1,200 × 600 dpi
- Laser marking modules for contactless engraving and permanent marking
All printing systems are suitable for alphanumeric data, barcodes, 2D codes, and matrix codes.
Up to two scanner units can be mounted above or below to capture data, check print results, or read OCR texts.
