CS-SWR

The CS-SWR is a fast stand-alone encoder that has, at its core, the established and reliable SWR unit and is ideal for personalization bureaus wishing to process up to 5,500 ID-1 sized HICO or LOCO MagStripe cards per hour.

Unparalleled encoding quality

Its unparalleled encoding quality and longevity, is coupled with data security provided by an internal comparison between write and read information and output with OK/NOK statements. In addition, the read data can be sent to the Rinas software for seamless protocol generation and data logging.

A compact modular card personalizer

The Rinas CS-SWR, comprising field-tested mechanics, is designed for continuous volume throughput and longevity without unnecessarily burdening the individual modules. Up to 5,500 cards can be separated per hour depending on the application governing the encoding and scan processes.

The changeover between HICO and LOCO is performed quickly and simply via software and the adaptation to suit special card thicknesses can be performed either at the factory or at the customer’s site by simply exchanging the encoder and motor plate (toolless). In such cases, Rinas has the necessary card separator and stacker.

The standard unit can even be extended to include a JIS module, which is simply screwed to the main encoder unit enabling up to three ISO tracks and an opposing JIS track to be processed in a single pass.

The encoder is complemented by a choice of scanner units, for data retrieval applications, that operate in either the IR or visible spectrum to suit different card colours and surfaces. In addition, a range of add-on accessories for card separation, stacking and flipping etc. complete the product’s portfolio.

Scanner for data retrieval

In a typical application scenario, pre-personalized cards (comprising text, 1d or 2d code) need to be encoded from corresponding data within a CSV file.

Here, a separated card is transported from the separator to the encoder via the SRM unit where a scanner, which can recognize all common typefaces, barcodes and even 2D and Matrix codes, records information from a pre-defined area of a passing card. This processed scan data is passed to the Rinas software for comparison with the relevant track encoding data, which, when found, is passed to the encoder for writing and verification. NOK cards are rejected and logged accordingly. The throughput for this type of typical scenario, when encoding on 2 tracks, is approx. 5,100 cph!
