Quality magnetic stripe analysis reaches new heights in terms of operational comfort, testing possibilities and price-performance ratio
Testing the quality of magnetic stripe encoding in today’s mass-production card market is just one reason to consider an analysis machine that not only tests the surface properties of the magnetic medium itself, but also enables a broad range of statistical analysis tests to be performed as well.
According to Armin Rinas, Engineering and Strategic Development manager at Rinas Gerätetechnik GmbH, “by co-operating with Barnes International Ltd., manufacturer of the Mag-Tester Revo, we are able to complement our existing product portfolio and supply a complete product spectrum and backup service to card manufacturers and verification laboratories. The Mag-Tester Revo also confirms our belief that the Rinas encoding is superior to its competitors in terms of repeatability and standards adherence.”
The Mag-Tester Revo itself, of course, is also in a league of its own, able to test a range of HICO/LOCO magnetic stripe carrier formats according to the major ISO/IEC, JIS, IATA etc. standards, and can benefit the power user through its ability to batch test and statistically analyse results, and to check for deviations in magnetic properties and/or encoding quality (head wear, alignment etc.) More advanced uses, such as test limit card creation, or configurable track offset on both read and write heads, are standard, out-of-the-box features. It is perhaps for these reasons that Barnes International Ltd. has such an authoritative voice with a commanding leadership position within the analyser marketplace, and is the choice for Certification Laboratories around the globe.
